Mary Pyrgos who represents Cyprus in the Whistleblowers International Network (WIN), had the opportunity to participate at the launch event of the European Whistleblowing Institute, which stemmed from a deep belief that there is an enormous societal gain if we become better at organising for truth. Its aim is to become the leading institute in Europe for advancing whistleblower empowerment, acceptance, and safeguarding. This will be achieved by focussing on the three pillars of education, research, and policy advice, said its founders. Mary Pyrgos, welcomes this initiative with great pleasure and looks forward to working with them, because much research is still needed in this area.
