Ευαισθητοποιημένες γυναίκες και άνδρες σε όλο τον κόσμο αγωνίζονται για να προωθήσουν την ισότητα και για να βοηθήσουν τις γυναίκες να ενδυναμωθούν και να συμμετέχουν στη δημιουργία ενός καλύτερου κόσμου για τις νεότερες γενιές. Οι σημαντικοί αυτοί αγώνες και τα επιτεύγματα των γυναικών σε όλο τον κόσμο, δυστυχώς δεν είναι γνωστά, σε άλλες χώρες.
Επειδή η προβολή των δράσεων τους και των επιτυχιών τους, είναι σημαντική, για την ενδυνάμωση των γυναικών, ο ΟΗΕ, μέσα από το ενημερωτικό δελτίο του τμήματος Γυναικών, UN WOMEN, προβάλλει τις σημαντικότερες δράσεις και επιτυχίες των γυναικών σε διάφορες χώρες.
Μέσα από αυτή τη σελίδα της εφημερίδας, η άποψη μας, θα προσπαθήσουμε να μεταφέρουμε τις σημαντικότερες επιτυχίες των γυναικών από όλο τον κόσμο, πρώτα, για να πληροφορηθούμε για τις προσπάθειες που καταβάλλονται και δεύτερο για να εμπνευστούμε και να δραστηριοποιηθούμε και εμείς στην Κύπρο, στους τομείς που μας ενδιαφέρουν. Women reach highest levels of decision-making
In 2021, 8 countries have elected or sworn in their first woman Head of State or Government, with Barbados, Estonia and Moldova having women as President and Prime Minister for at least part of the year.

Switzerland announced that same-sex couples would be able to marry, and Chile’s Congress passed a law to legalize same-sex marriage. 2021 also saw promising moves to decriminalise same-sex partnerships.

Lebanon makes progress towards ending child marriage
